This is a great option if you've got $10 in your pocket, you're rather hungry, and looking for something above average. Excellent gyro wraps with lots of other options for friends if they don't like gyros. The chipotle souvlaki was a great start for my first time there. The pita is stuffed and rolled like one of those giant burritos at a burrito chain. Easy to hold and enjoy without lots of mess. Plenty of good options for fillings and toppings without having to dip into paying extra for premium ingredients. Giant souvlaki gyro served exactly my way = $7. You could split it between two people for a modest lunch date if you needed to. I'll certainly go back.The lost star is only for the relative lack of available seating. I counted four group tables inside. If you come at a prime hour, chances are you'll need to take it outside to-go. Otherwise, the seating was plain but suitable.

It was delicious!! One of the workers recommended to fix my sandwich how she fix her sandwich and I must say it was the bomb!!!!! I will most definitely be going back.

First timers and lady was kind and friendly, my kids got some cookies for having their halloween costumes and we all had great food and time. Plenty of seating inside and welcoming atmosphere

Great pitas, unfortunately the owners be jippin you on the ingredients, they barely fill it upp! Atlanta location does it right. But still great, just wish they would fill it uppp like their supposed to!

Pita Pit is easily my favorite late night place DT- the food is awesome, and the employees are always super understanding and patient (dealing with a lot of drunks can be rough, I know!). The mediterranean loaded with tzatziki is the closest thing I can find to Döner in Athens, and it is always awesome. I'm just sorry I don't eat there more often! Reasonably cheap, open until 3, and convenient to campus, Pita Pit is great.

Their buffalo chicken pita was super tasty and overall very satisfying.

Says open, but not. Good service (when open), but lots of non-service. Just make sure they're actually open (gotta see with your eyes it seems) before you plan on stopping by. Multiple times of "not open" when Google tells me otherwise!

So I walked in the other day and, my goodness, this guy Mervin was just OUTSTANDING I literally got what I asked for in AMAZING time and have never seen such great customer service

Hella dope

Every time I come to Athens, I make sure to stop in and eat here. The best food a few bucks can buy. The pitas are huge and filling and hit the spot late night. Been coming here for years, keep it up.

Love their Gyro pita wraps. They do charge extra for hummus and do not participate in the corporate rewards program/app unfortunately.

Every time I eat here I always enjoy it. The Pitas are amazing and you can customize them the way you like. The customer service from the owner is also on par. He is a very nice guy to talk to. Overall, I am very pleased with this place and their service. I will constantly come to this Pita Pit as long as I live in Athens!

Awesome place! It was a scorcher outside the day my girlfriend and I decided to stop by here. It was our first time eating here, and we wandered in off the street without knowing anything about the place. I had the Thai Chicken pita. It scorched my mouth and pleased my taste buds. I was happy to find out the Pita Pit is so well reviewed. I definitely recommend this lunch spot!

I had the Philly Cheese Steak Pita. My wife had the Spicy Black Bean Pita. We enjoyed it. Nice little place with something different to offer than the normal place we go.

The Pita Pit is a legendary Athens favorite! From lunch time to late night, this is a great place to grab a quick meal with a ton of healthy options on the menu.

Not bad, but not the best. It's the Subway of Mediterranean food. The way they serve you is just like Subway as the ingredients are all laid out in front of you, so you know what's going into your food, but also like Subway, the food is pricey and quite bland. They're a chain restaurant, so obviously their meat is mass produced and pre-packaged rather than fresh made like Souvlaki's and Habibi's, which in comparison taste much better.

The rotten lettuce at this location has ruined the entire franchise for me

My husband, who is wheelchair-bound, and I tried to eat here on Saturday but were unable to. While this restaurant has a wheelchair-accessible entrance and a lift down to the counter/register area, we were dismayed to find that directly in front of the lift, they'd placed a table where two people were eating. One employee offered to move the table for us, then another said that it was out of order because the key had been stolen, then the first said that they had the key after all, and by this point, my husband was embarrassed by all the fuss and wanted to leave. He hates being the center of attention so going out in public with his disability is hard enough. Having a spectacle made over a blocked wheelchair lift just made the whole experience humiliating for him. We'd planned to spend the afternoon downtown but left directly after eating elsewhere because he was so over being in public at that point.So yeah, if you're in a wheelchair, don't bother coming here.

This is one of my favorite places to eat. It's healthy and most importantly, delicious! The owners are very nice and welcoming. They treat you like family here. I absolutely love it!

Visited on a Thursday. Food is similar to a place in San Francisco I liked.

Quick, fresh pita in a dingy setting. My gyro was delicious and the tzatziki was nice and tangy. Definitely not great for groups. Teeny dine-in area - I think 12 total seats. Just get yours and take it to go.
